Heart disease, what can be done?

Atherectomy -A nonsurgical technique for treating diseased arteries with a rotating device that cuts or shaves away material that is blocking or narrowing an artery.
EBCT (Electron Beam Computed Tomography.
I have tried to find out if some kind of diagnostic method and some kind of treatment could have helped me to avoid the heart attack in Jan23, 2006. It seems to me now that probably the EBT, mentioned above could have discovered the plaque in my arteries which caused them to be almost totally closed. I don't know if this equipment is available here in Norway. I have found the story of Bill Clinton's heart disease. Doctors wondered why the EBT was not made available to him 10 years earlier.
The Association for Eradication of Heart Attack wants to encourage widespread use of EBT in order to prevent death from heart attacks.
"Without an EBT heart scan to measure coronary calcium, neither you, your doctor, nor your insurance company,, know whether or not you're at your true risk for a heart attack," said SPRI member Dr. Matthew Budoff, director of the Harbor-UCLA Medical Center EBT Clinic." A normal stress test tells us that the patient doesn't have a critical blockage at that point in time, but it routinely misses clinically significant amounts of plaque in the arteries. "
"Former President Bill Clinton passed his stress test with flying colors, and then checked into the hospital for emergency quadruple bypass surgery."

Heart attack happened 2 months later

I was a patient at Phuket International Hospital in November 2006. I complained about something unusual feeling inside my heart. The doctor offer me to take EKG, which showed nothing. So he shook his head, and said"NOTHING". Now I think that my heart attack which happened January 23, 2006, could probably have been avoided, if more examinations, like stress test had been done. According to medicinet.com 60 to 70 % of clogged arteries will be discovered with a so-called stress test.
When I had my heart attack, I did not call the emergency number here in Norway, which is 113.
Instead I called for a taxi, and went to visit a family I know. I remember that I complained to the taxi driver about pain in my chest while he was driving. None of us got the idea of changing destination, and go to the hospital instead in Stavanger. I have been told by a Danish doctor that I had a blood clot.
I did not come to hospital until 4 days later, on a Friday in the same week. Then I came because of double lung inflammation. And I guess that the old heart attack was discovered on x-ray. I have got the feeling that the PIH doctor did not take my fear of heart trouble seriously enough. I contacted a Norwegian pastor, who helped me to get a ticket back to Norway through Norsk Luftambulanse NLA (Norwegian Air Ambulance) . I was a member of that organization then, as I am today also. I think that my condition would have been much better if the fear of a dangerous heart condition would have been taken more seriously, so that the doctor would have recommended me to take more test. The PIH boasts on their homepage that the competence has been increased also when it comes to preventing heart illness. I do not understand why the doctor could stop taking more tests after the EKG.I have contacted the editor of a Norwegian magazine called "Det nytter" which is a membership magazine for a Norwegian organization for victims of heart and lung diseases. I suggested that she could write more about early diagnosis of plaque in the arteries of the heart. I hope to start a debate about why not such a dangerous condition as mine is not given more attention in the form of testing, especially when my relatives on both paternal and mother side have died from age 45 up to around 60 years old from heart disease.

I discovered that the time and day is California, not Noway, since I found out that

there are less than 7 days to Christmas Eve here in Norway. And the time right now here in south-western Norway with ice and snow is 0715. I now have to decide if most of the readers are in California. Can someone post a reply about which time zone he or she is in?

Today I read my old homepage which first was on SOL, Scandinavia Online.Unfortunately it was taken away, and the pictures and graphics seems to be difficult to copy in www.webspawner.com
So maybe I try to copy into this blog instead. You can see the SOL copy on http://www.webspawner.com/users/adrawah/index.html

Carrot box instead of the useless broken lid on Cal

Today Sunday I got my Calvind trike back with taxi from Sola Airport. The black lid covering the rear axle, was partly broken on the right side, so that it moved up and down while I was driving over uneven road. I heard a unusual sound, and wondered where it came from.
I stopped about 500 meter later, because I thought it would be better to try to find out, than just going on.I will have to contact www.ticket.no and ask how and where to claim money for compensation.Neither I or the taxi driver noticed this. Today the King of Thailand is 78 years old. see www.nationmultimedia.com
I have been scared more or less when the thai princess has driven past me both in Bangkok, in Sukhumwit road, and in Wat Chalong, while I was sitting in the street cafe outside www.phukethostel.com On Friday 25 I noticed a policeman stopping a car from the opposite side of the road. Maybe about 10 police cars suddenly drove north towards Phuket town.
I believed that this could be a sign of terrorist attack.
So I decided that I wanted to leave that place, and go to the Norwegian church tsunami victim center inside Garden Hotel.
While I was waiting for pastor Rune Birkeland to come and meet me in the Swedish restaurant where I was the first customer , thunder and rain came so much that the road was soon a 20 cm deep river. The light went off, and we had only the burning lights on the tables. Luckily the rain and thunder stopped in about 2 hours, and the light came back.
I saw 2 big trucks with 2 cabin cruisers going on the Thai Na road toward the light junction near Kata Beach Post Office while the electricity was cut off.

I stayed in the Little Mermaid near the Danish bakery, where I drank 3 cups of coffee, which probably caused my heart to become more nervous. So I had rest on pillows on the floor for about an hour.

internet cafe for young people at Bryne

I asked politely if the young woman could turn down the volume in the background. Although there was no one exept her, that means no young person, she refused. I said that the music made it more difficult for me to concentrate but she still refused. www.midtpunktet.net is their address. Who is the "midtpunkt" here......? *I am not the one who wants to hear songs about sexbomb, I need you, etc.
I pay 10 NOK for 30 minutes, still I have no right as a customer to expect that when I use the net I want to avoid using the 35 decibel airplugs I just bought for use on the airplane.
Norway is a country where it is easy to become angry, because I get a not pleasant treatment.
I remember that I used a card in order to save money on calls to Thailand and Philippines. This was bought in the Narvesen shop, M44.
It costed 100 NOK, and I found out later that it had value only 10 NOK.
When I talked with a woman in the Narvesen shop in Egersund, she offered me that I could get a new card. If it worked, I still had only value 20 NOK for something I paid 100 NOK for.
I wonder how silly these salesperson believe I am.
The journalist in Stavanger Aftenblad did not understand the problem. So he gave up writing about it. ...

Net bank problems. Today the Norwegian Postal Bank

did not give me access to paying function, like changing the date for paying. Maybe it works tomorrow, Tuesday Nov. 22.
I feel lucky that now I am able to walk without pain in my heels inside Nike shoes made in Thailand.
The Grete Waitz soles of the thickest type, called "diabetes" soles, are very comfortable. I would like to have these thicker soles in the sandals as well, but I have been told that this requires a change in the production.
